This Privacy Policy explains what information Food Runner (“the Game”, “we”, “us”) collects when you play, how we use it, and the choices you have. We keep data collection to what the Game needs to run, save your progress and improve the experience.
1. Information we collect
Information you give us
- Email address — only if you contact support or request account deletion.
- Display name — if you choose one for leaderboards.
Information collected automatically
- Game data — progress, scores, distance, coins and cheese collected, unlocked runners and skins, missions and daily reward status.
- Player identifiers — an anonymous player ID, and your Google Play Games or Apple Game Center ID if you sign in to use leaderboards.
- Device information — device model, operating system version, language, and app version.
- Usage and diagnostics — how the Game is used (for example, runs played and features opened) and crash reports that help us fix bugs.
- Advertising identifiers — if the Game shows ads, your device’s advertising ID may be used by our ad partners, subject to your device settings and consent.
- Purchase records — if you buy items in the Game, we receive a confirmation of the purchase from the app store. We never see or store your payment card details.
We do not collect your precise location, contacts, photos, or microphone data.
2. How we use your information
- To run the Game and save and restore your progress.
- To show leaderboards, missions and daily rewards.
- To deliver in-game purchases you make.
- To understand how the Game is played, fix crashes and improve gameplay.
- To show ads and measure their performance, where applicable.
- To respond to your support requests and deletion requests.
- To prevent cheating, fraud and abuse, and to comply with the law.
We do not sell your personal information.
3. Sharing & third-party services
We share information only with service providers that help us run the Game, and only as needed for the purposes above. These may include:
- Platform services — Apple (App Store, Game Center) and Google (Google Play, Play Games Services) for downloads, purchases, sign-in and leaderboards.
- Analytics and crash reporting — for example, Google Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics.
- Advertising partners — for example, Google AdMob, if ads are shown in the Game.
Each of these providers processes data under its own privacy policy. We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights and safety of our players and ourselves.
4. Data retention
We keep your game data for as long as you keep playing. If you request deletion, we delete your account and associated game data within 30 days. Some limited records, such as purchase receipts, may be kept longer where the law requires it. Anonymous, aggregated statistics that cannot identify you may be kept indefinitely.
5. Your rights & choices
Depending on where you live (for example, under the GDPR in the EU/UK or the CCPA in California), you may have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate information.
- Delete your information.
- Object to or restrict certain processing, or withdraw consent.
- Receive a copy of your data in a portable format.
You can request deletion of your account and data at any time on our Delete Account page. For other requests, email us at the address below. You can also reset your advertising ID or limit ad tracking in your device settings.
6. Children’s privacy
Food Runner is a family-friendly game, but it is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has given us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
7. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to keep your data safe.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the “Last updated” date above, and for significant changes we may also notify you in the Game.
